Got the seat that Josh sent me back from Sargent today. Woot. I sent it last Friday and got it today. Nice turnaround time. Just sitting on it in the garage it feels better than the gel seat, but this weekend will be the real test. I hope to do a real long ride up to the middle of the state to visit some friends and search for some decent roads. Hope its a good as the hype. Will let ya know.

Pictures and a report coming up after the ride. I will be getting the tail end of the cold front that screwed up everybody else's weather early this week. Rainy and cold on Sat. Don't know how many miles I will get in on Sunday.

You being in Jax should spend the coin and pay them a visit.
I wish I had the time to take the whole bike to them and make the seat a little different.

I'm not too crazy at how the seat matches up to the back of the cowl. The last picture only shows it a little. but the gap is fuguly. I had hoped to get home early enough to sneak in a short ride but the cold front just blew in and getting in Friday rush hour traffic does not appeal to me at all.

Just got back from a 50 mile ride and all I can say is Ahhhhh. No butt burn at all. I'm going to do a longer ride tomorrow and really put it to the test.

Another report. I did about 150 miles today with two stops for a snack and some fuel. I think the problem is not the seats but my boney ass.
I the stock seat is a 0 and the gel is a 4 the Sargent has to be an 8.
After an hour straight in the saddle I was getting a little twitchy, but nothing like the gel seat. Worth the money, hell yes. I think you can send them your seat for just the foam replacement and save a few bucks. Although the new cover looks nice.
And Budo, the gel is now for sale.

You have received a PM scott...

I'm glad you liked the Sargent seat :)

Hey, my ass was in that seat for 2 years! LOL! :raspberry:

The gel seat is definitely an improvement over the stock seat, but not as big as I had hoped... Glad the Sargent is working out for ya! I had a Corbin on my SV650S, and I actually didn't like it...

Well I lived through a lot of miles with my stock seat... so I should be able to tell if the gel seat makes a huge improvement or not.

Oh, and Thanks scott for an awesome deal on the Gel seat

Ha. The box I'm sending it in has about a jillion miles on it. From Shane to Josh, from Josh to me, and how from me the Budo.:FedExTruck:

LOL!!! Classic!!! That box, packing peanuts, and bubble wrap gets my vote for "Best Deal Ever"! :rofl3:

If only Shane would come on here and let us know if HE got it from someone ELSE, LOL!!!

We should have all written something on the box, like a personal comment with a date on it, and then kept sending it out! Can you imagine how sweet that would be after a few years of reuse?

Duh I broke the tradition and used another box. I'm sure Shane used the Mothers shipping dept. for his shipping needs. Send him a note and ask for some stickers and see what you get.

As usual... Scott's packing job was bomb-proof, and I got a few other free T-shirts with it. Now I can hang out around yacht clubs and looks as if I belong... :P

Thanks again Scott!!

A short ride to work showed some (though not much) improvement from the stock seat, but I did notice a big difference on how my butt feels when the bike hits a dip or an overpass joiner thing (you know, those metal things that are supposed to be flush, but never are). The gel seat is definitely a lot cushier and bouncier than the stock.

As for the looks, although the extra stitching looks nice I still think that the sculpted look of the stock seat compliments the 675's lines better.

No wonder it smelled like pizza farts when I opened the box.

Go down to Seabrook and find an Offshore yacht. The old gezzers will talk your ear off.
