Thanks to everyone for the congrats. It's been a LONG weekend. We got to the hospital around 9am on Friday. Progress was slow through the afternoon, but things were looking up early evening. She dialated to 8cm by around 8:30ish and then quit progressing. Remained that way for about 3 and a half hours. Finally the doctor made the call to do a c section since she hadn't progressed and she was in so much pain. They attempted to dope her up and then rolled her to the OR. They couldn't get her numb through the epidural, and she was feeling p the pressure of the knife. The only other option was to put her under. This meant I couldn't be in the room. They finally delivered Chandler at 1:05 am on the 21st. I got to see him for a minute and then a nurse took me away to explain what was going to happen. They sent her to recovery where only her and the baby could be together. After about an hour or so, they finally came and got me. What an amazing feeling it was to hold him for he first time! We finally got settled into the room by 3:30 am and we all crashed. Not for long, as he was up and testing his lungs by 7ish. The next night rough because we couldn't get him to eat or sleep. We had a lot of visitors yesterday, so last night was much better because he was pretty worn out. Hopefully they will be sending us home today. Carrie and I are ready for our own home. He weighed in at 7lbs 10 oz and measured in at 21 1/4". Long and skinny! I can proudly say he's worth more than any bike and I would do it all over again! I'll post up some more pictures when we get home.
