Rub my face in it why don't you. Had the bike out a week ago Friday for an hour. Next day rain and the temperature kept dropping from there. Currently windy and wet and dropping to -16 that's a pitiful 7 for you Fahrenheit people.

In my current program of study, the only break we get is the month of December.

You COULD just come up here, where the girls are pasty (or orange with spray tans) and the bikini's only "keep getting smaller" because the chicks "keep getting fatter"... :laugh:

Scott I bet we could make an album of squid pictures. New Hampshire also does not require a rider to wear a helmet.

I've seen riders leaving NH and trying to put a helmet on with one hand while doing 80-ish mph, that really is stupid.

Illinois has no helmet law either -- just "eye protection". :thumbup:

I've seen my fair share of squids, believe you me! I get mad at my buddy when he rides around with just a helmet for "gear" and stands up on his bike, takes out his phone, and plays with it while going down the highway... :pout:

Sounds like my Uncle. He lives in Massachusetts, so when we ride together and hit up the beach (in NH) he always takes his helmet off while riding.
He says "its so I can rip buts (cigarettes) while riding down the strip". His exact words.

I cant even begin to show you all the squids we have here. It frickin boggles the mind. And its getting worse. In the winter we get the upnorth people that come down here for some warm weather and some riding but its nothing compared to what I'm seeing now. Plus with the super hot weather its getting worse. Believe me, they are not locals. The local squids wear jackets, boots , helmets and gloves. Or at least Icon back protectors. I don't know what planet they come from.

I was with my girl downtown yesterday (she surprised me with a massage at Urban Oasis!), and I saw SOOOO many dumbasses out, it was insane!!!!! The one that took the cake was some asshat on an (I think) '06 R1 with loud exhaust, and no shoes and no shirt -- just a pair of mesh workout shorts and sunglasses... And to top it all off, he was weaving in and out of rush-hour traffic at insane speed, cutting people off and crap... I was susprised he didn't nail one of our MANY man-sized potholes and eat it... OR get flattened by one of our MANY distracted/retarded drivers...

Sadly, this is becoming a pretty standard thing out here! :pout:

I swear, it gets noticeable worse every year. I am not even a very "experienced" or seasoned rider in comparison to others (only a little more than 6 years riding), and it seems the number of people with gear halves every year! :stupid:

And screw heat as an excuse... I just rode when it was 98 degrees (and humid as hell) yesterday to see my GF (1 hour+ away in traffic), with all my gear and though a bit hot and sweaty at times, I was fine. Better safe than sorry!

I was driving to the gym earlier tonight and noticed this guy on a harley. He had it all decked out extended foot rests, ape hangers, the entire 9 yards.
Once he hit the New Hampshire border he takes his helmet off while riding (just a skull bucket), while he is attempting to do so he doesn't notice that traffic has stopped ahead due to highway construction.

The guy almost crashes into a NASCAR truck, then the cherry on the on it all was that in the stop and go bs he can't even control his bike with the foot extensions and ape hangers. I wanted to yell out learn to ride it before you buy it.

Not to mention his his gear consisted of a short leave button shirt, jeans, and sneakers...oh yeah and his yellow tint glasses for eye protection.

I will try to get some pictures next time. I could have when we all stopped.

I like Brian's idea about the squid album. I've seen several of these around here and I wonder if it is getting worse or do I forget how bad it was in the off season? I always go by the old saying "dress for the fall not the ride".

Hayabusa is an extension of your penis. Therer is nowhere you can ride that thing on except for the track. Personally for street use I think anything over a litre particularly in the sportbike class is totally impractical, maybe touring maybe, and maybe just maybe as I get older and look at some of those BMW's I'll change my mind.
