View Full Version : Women with tattoos: Your opinion?

So, what do you think when you see a woman with a tattoo?
Do you think it makes the woman look trashy?

Or does that depend on where the tattoo is? Or does it depend on how the woman looks (unkempt as opposed to well groomed)?

I am curious about your opinions...

Well not only where it is but what it is can also be a factor. If it's a name of one of her ex's then it's not doing anything for me (usually strippers have those).

Most of the time I'd say HOT! Especially if it's a tramp stamp.

I like tattoos on women, with the exception of the stupid "tramp stamps."

My issue with some women getting tattoos, just like some men getting tattoos, is that they just pick a damn picture and get it at some random spot on their body. A tattoo needs to be more than just an image, it needs to be a representation of what you see in yourself.

That being said, I find women that are heavily tattooed a lot more beautiful than the random girl with a butterfly (which used to be called flutterby) on her ankle. I find women that have full sleeves somewhat intoxicating ;)

I'm trying to find a picture to kinda show what I mean, but it's so hard to find one that is not NSFW... Maybe all this time I've just been attracted to semi nude girls... not girls with tattoos. LOL

I think it depends on how many.

In general I don't care for them. I have seen some that are just OK, but I have also seen the real trashy one that in my opinion ruin a woman's sex appeal. I don't understand why so many young people are getting them willy nilly. I will get you a picture of a young gal I know that's getting a huge one all over her torso. Such a lovely young gal thats going to look like hell when its all done.

Burke, can you qualify "stupid tramp stamp"... or is this the what you mean:

Well, I do have a ..... um.... I don't like the term but..... tramp stamp.
For years Chip used a biohazard symbol as his symbol (moniker?) After we met we both got biohazard symbol tattoos. I had wanted a tattoo for years and thought about it for a long time before I got mine.

I had been thinking of getting another one... but there is just no place on me that I would want to put one...except the top of my foot. Maybe.

For me, a tattoo is very personal and I typically don't show off the one I have. However I can certainly appreciate when I see other's. My brother has some amazing superhero tattoos... I'll have to get pics.

So I was thinking of getting a checkered flag crossed with the Union Jack on my foot.. but I don't want to be disrespectful to the Union Jack.

If you're taking it that seriously I don't think it can be badged as a tramp stamp. My 2¢.

Burke, can you qualify "stupid tramp stamp"

A stupid tramp stamp is a tattoo that is placed generally very low on the small of the back for the sole purpose of showing it off when wearing low cut jeans.

I placed tramp stamp in parenthesis because I don't like calling it that personally... But it does annoy me that some girls will just get a tattoo over in that area, especially the stupid f*in tribal designs that people just pick out of a catalog.

It's the female equivalent to those douchebags you see in the clubs with the 2x too small pink collared shirts who have barbed wire and/or Asian characters and/or tribal designs around their biceps...

As for ME -- and I don't mean to be insulting -- I absolutely do NOT like tattoos... Especially on women. I'm sorry, I just don't like them. Not at all attractive to me. Then again, as most of you probably already know from my past comments on what I find attractive (physically AND personality), I am more old-fashioned/traditional. Just my thing, as I am that way too.

Please don't take that as offensive, Kat!

Absolutely no offense taken. I can definitely see your point and appreciate it.

I too tend to be more traditional and am more on the order of how Budo explained it.

My tattoo is not for public consumption and I don't purposely dress such that it's "out there". Ever.

In my case, my tattoo is more of a permanent wedding band, more like a "Chip stamp" than a tramp stamp. Chip and I have the same tattoo.

This is part of the reason why, in thinking about getting another tattoo, I would get it on the top of my foot, so it is not obvious. Also why I put up this thread because your opinions count.

It depends on the girl. my ex was covered but it work WELL on her. But like I said, a lot of it depends on the girl. Some girls a lot of ink just doesnt work on, some it does, and when it does work its HOT.

Great now I'm reminising about all of them the ex had and her whole package, god damn she was hot.

My mom keeps trying to get me to get a tattoo (yet she flipped out when I got my bellybutton pierced).

When I was younger, I wanted to get a tribal armband around my bi. But that was when I was rock-climbing nearly every day and had really bitchin' arms.

My Mom always asked me why I did not have a tattoo or earring when all my friends did. Duh :noclue: I dunno. Never really want to do what everyone else was doing. All the "Dudes" were getting gold fish hook ear piercings. Damd if I can find a pic of it now.

I'm kinda on the fence. If the girl is pretty much fit, flat stomach, strong legs, etc, then I think it looks cool.

If not, I find it quite lame.

Nice!

Guy down at the tattoo shop the other day just finished one on his foot. He was complaining that he raced SCCA, it was his braking foot, and would have to put his foot back in a shoe by the weekend. He was limping pretty bad from the pain.

Edit: Oh....and doesn't matter what everyone else thinks as long as you love it and it makes Chip drool :)
