Greek motorcycle police respond to riot

To set the context of this it is the 1-year anniversary of a 15 year old being killed by a police bullet in a legal protest where he was just there - acting out. In reality it is more of a protest of the socialist government not the kid’s death.

Peaceful protest my ass... The first minute and 15 seconds shows the protesters increasingly violent behaviour.

I love how it conveniently cuts into the cops already engaged with the protesters. Instead of showing why and how the cops got there. One sided view anyone?

I say bring out the riot squad and cattle prods.



P.s. I googled the teen killing last year for some background info... Every single post I can see mentions that the police officers fired after a group of teens attacked them with rocks and a possible firebomb. First of all... what the fuck is a 15 year old doing in a protest group (if that's what it was)??? Second, if you decide to dish out violence in a group mentality you better be prepared for a world of hurt. The argument may be that you yourself is not a major threat to the life of the police officers, but when there's a group of you (anywhere between 10 - 30 according to news stories) then you are also liable for actions of everybody else.

I mean the first thing I was taught to do if I was to get into an uneven situation is to take out one person as hard as I can and make an example of him. I hate to say it, but I think that's probably what happened and I think it's justified (if the police story about getting attacked first is true).

Anyway... maybe I'm just a little less tolerant because of my fecking strep throat and fever and cough and all this other shit.

The cop that shot the kid is charged with murder and the trial is due to begin sometime soon. The thing that stinks about the kid's death was that witness said that the cops started it after they had an exchange with some other kids. The cop that shot the kid said that the bullet was a ricochet was caught lying and that's when things started to get worse.

But yeah if you're in a group like this you should probably leave.
