Sorry you frozen people up north. Yesterday was a great day down here. Went riding with the Italian farm tractor club. Well, I did not stay with the group, me and a somewhat buddy on a Street took another route to the same destination. Two Speedy's, two Tigers and a Sprint along with about fifty Duc's. Started from the everglades Park about 15 miles west of me and headed down to a redneck bar/restaurant in the middle of nowhere on the way to the Keys. Great seafood and a cold beer.
Can you guess what type of music they play there?

The two young hotties go up to dance with the old folks. And you think I'm old.
This was the the crowd before we left. Squids-a-mundo. Just because you can afford an expensive bike does not make you any kind of rider. Chicken strips up the wazoooo.

The gal on the back of the yellow 1098 had the most mesmerizing eyes peering out of her helmet I wanted to get a picture of them. Her boyfriend didn't take kindly to my asking. Jerkwad. duh, I cut off her head.

This guy could not ride for shit and almost crashed in the parking lot.
http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w260/scooterscott_photos/AlabamaJacksJan10008.jpg
If it makes you popsicle's feel any better, I got caught in the leading edge of a cold front on the way home and got soaked. At least it was not to cold. I love when someone advertises their bike for sale and states that it has never been in the rain. Just tells me the puss has never ridden that much.
Cold front coming in and the air boat operator trying to get in the last tour of the day. The guy in the Nitro is hi tailing it for the ramp and a dry pickemup truck.

You folks up north should plan a winter vacation down here when you are arsehole deep in snow up there. I know you all plan on doing things in the Summer but think about it. Hell if one of you wants to get away for a quick weekend I can loan you a bike or point you to a bike rental place and plan the best place to go.
welp, I'm off to the beach. :raspberry:

Sure, you know I'm not kidding.
The temps dropped to about 30 degrees last night/this morning. Freezed my balls off as soon as I step out of my sleeping bag. Slept in till 9:30 :D

If things were a bit better financially, and Chip were willing to take some time off of work to watch the kids, I would pack up the bike and be there. No hesitation.

I rather be up in the North East. I rather take quality roads and lack of riding time over quantity any day. Plus we have better sports teams and better seafood.
Just saying :icon_wink:
I'd rather be NorthWest...
Better riding, better roads, better mountains (think snowboarding), and better people.

Do those good sports teams come over and shovel the ass deep snow off your driveway? Better seafood? Different maybe, but not better.

I've got you both beat: Sub-zero temperatures and limited riding season, horrible-quality roads that are mostly straight (mountains? WHAT mountains???), bad drivers, sports teams that consistently do just well enough to lose when it counts, etc... Though our food tends to be pretty good... Though it's probably because we're stuck inside in winter perfecting recipes, LOL! And also, the midwestern people are generally nicer ("better"?) than you'd expect.

^^ Ha, that little yellow guy has good control. Well its all coming to bite me in the ass. The second cold front is pushing in here tomorrow. Going to be in the 30's with a wicked wind chill factor to boot.Yeah,I know its a jillion degrees below in some places but with our humidity its freekin cold. Remember it was 80 last week.
Now that its been cold for a couple of days I'm starting to get acclimated to the cooler weather.Went for a ride yesterday and there was nobody out at the park where a lot of us go. Well, nobody but us old tuff fuckers.

I got up to feels like temps around freezing. Supposed to stay this way for a week or more. Funny thing is when it first goes from the 80's to cold it kills me. Now, I'm fine with it except for the no riding, no way. :cold:
Thursday, Friday and Saturday I'll be riding in below 25 temps... Good thing it's mainly sunny except for tomorrow.

They taste like chicken.
actually they go into a state on hibernation. Then the fall out of trees and get run over by cars. Road kill lunch. Whats funny about it all is they like to be around the water. As in, the better neighborhoods with big yachts. It cracks me up when someone with a
muilti-million house bitches about the guanas eating their shrubs. It is legal to off them as they are not indigenous here. The little ones run from you but the big one don't take any shit from humans. They have been known to take off a finger.

LOL @ the guy in the video who was "grabbing the iguanas and throwing them in the back of his truck", and when they warmed up and crawled on his back, he almost caused a wreck!!! BWAHAAHAHA!!!
Flori-duh, indeed.
Rode home @ 25 degrees just now. Can't feel my fingers and my balls are stuck to my thighs...

Do you have any heated gear?
I'll with you in riding in the cold, the only problem I have is the snow and ice/black ice. That keeps my bike garaged until the Spring time.

No heated gear. I've got a pretty well insulated jacket but that's pretty much the only winter gear I have. I wear my snowboarding gloves when temps drop below 50, and wear my snowboarding base layer under my jeans. But yesterday I forgot my base layer... :P

Just got back from a ride to the store and I'm going to take advantage of the nice day and piss off from working today. Its about mid 60's and expecting to get cold again tonight and cold and rain tomorrow.

Well it all turned to winter overnight here. The cold front passed through and brought the rain with it. I skipped out on work yesterday to get in a little ride before the crap hit the fan. I started out with my non-perforated leathers and some long underwear. Wrong move. It got really toasty in the afternoon and I headed home for some summer gear.
If you look this gixxer chic has a coon tail hanging off her pants.

I was just looking at the 14 day trend (I don't know why, it's rarely accurate) and we're gonna see a 20 degree C shift in the next two weeks, from -10 to +10!!! (That's 14 - 50 for you metric impared folks). What's up with that?
Hey Scott at -20 when the Iguanas fall out of the trees they shatter.

I like our mid 70's weather we are having now. its nice outside at the moment. :-) But the bad thing is that when I go to work before the sun comes out, the temps are still in the 40's. We have about a 30-35 swing in temps every day.
Actually I just looked at weather.com, our high today is supposed to be 77 and the low tonight is 43. Now when I grew up in Iowa, 43 this time of the year is tropical, but down here, when you go from damn near 80 deg. down to that, its just damn cold.
